Conkle's Hollow State Nature Preserve is a deep, cool gorge, which is only 100 feet wide in places and is considered by some to be the deepest in Ohio. [1] The cliffs above the gorge are about 200 feet tall. The valley floor is covered in many species of plants, such as ferns, hemlock, and various wildflowers. [2]
The trails are open from dawn to dusk, all year round, including holidays. [1] The park contains seven separate hiking areas: Ash Cave, Cantwell Cliffs, Cedar Falls, Conkle's Hollow (nature preserve), Old Man's Cave, Rock House and Hemlock Bridge Trail to Whispering Cave. [2]

The Glen Helen Nature Preserve is a nature reserve immediately east of Yellow Springs, Ohio, United States.The initial 700-acre parcel was given to Antioch College by Hugh Taylor Birch in memory of his daughter Helen Birch Bartlet in 1929, [1] and is the largest private nature preserve in the region.
