Karol Estelle Kennedy Kucher (February 14, 1932 in Shelton, Washington – June 25, 2004 in Seattle, Washington) was an American pair skater. With her brother, Peter, she won five U.S. Championship titles from 1948 to 1952. Known as "The Kennedy Kids," they won the World Championship in 1950, and the silver medal in the 1952 Winter Olympics.
Shelton is a city in and the county seat of Mason County, Washington, United States. [6] Shelton is the westernmost city on Puget Sound. The population was 10,371 at the 2020 census. Shelton has a council–manager form of government and was the last city in Washington to use a mayor–commission form of government.

Archie Binns was born in Port Ludlow, Washington and attended high school in Shelton, Washington. He graduated from Stanford University in 1921. Though strongly influenced by his Pacific Northwest upbringing, Binns moved to New York City in the 1920s. While at Charles Scribner's Sons publishing house his editor was Maxwell Perkins.
