Mountlake Terrace is a suburban city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It lies on the southern border of the county, adjacent to Shoreline and Lynnwood, and is 13 miles (21 km) north of Seattle. The city had a population of 19,909 people counted in the 2010 census.
The city lies between Interstate 5 to the west and Interstate 405 to the east, which are accessed through Mountlake Terrace and Bothell, respectively. Brier has several local roads that connect with regional highways and a total of 28.5 miles (45.9 km) of roads, predominately residential and low-volume streets, within the city limits.
Alderwood Manor was a community that is now the cities of Lynnwood, Brier, and Mountlake Terrace. Alderwood Manor was a farming community where most residents raised chickens. Alderwood Manor was connected to Everett and Seattle by the interurban trolley system. [4]

North Lynnwood is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Snohomish County, Washington.In 2010, it had a population of 16,574 inhabitants. It was originally part of Picnic Point-North Lynnwood.
