Just FYI - the whole Valley Girl phenomenon started with teens who would hang out at Sherman Oaks Fashion Square (now Westfield Fashion Square) in the early 1970s. This was also the beginning of the "mall rats" phenomenon. (The Sherman Oaks Galleria depitced in the 1980s movie was actually the hangout of the next generation of Valley Girls.)
