In their third year under head coach Paul Hoernemann, the Student Princes compiled a 9–0 record, won the OAC championship, shut out five of nine opponents, and outscored all opponents by a total of 299 to 26. [1] [2] The 1948 season was the second perfect season in Heidelberg football history.
