The 2024–25 season is the 124th season in the history of Barrow and their fifth consecutive season in League Two. In addition to the domestic league , the club would also participate in the FA Cup , the EFL Cup , and the EFL Trophy .

The club remained in the lowest tier of the Football League when football resumed after the war, and were founding members of Football League Division Four in 1958–59. On 17 May, Barrow announced their first two pre-season friendlies, against Holker Old Boys and Oldham Athletic. [26] In June, the club confirmed further friendlies, against FC United of Manchester , AFC Fylde , Blackpool and Newcastle United U21 . [ 27 ]
After protracted discussions, the clubs voted to decide the final tables on a points-per-game basis; Barrow's 70 points from 37 games made them champions, and returned them to the Football League after 48 years. He joined Gateshead in July 2017 before returning to the English Football League with Port Vale in July 2018. He moved on to Macclesfield Town in July 2019 and dropped back into the National League to join Wrexham for the 2020–21 season. He signed with Salford City in November 2021, and Barrow in July 2024.
Barrow were relegated under Bayliss at the end of the 2012–13 season and, following an unsuccessful start to the new season in the Conference North, Bayliss left the club in November 2013. As of May 2020 [update] , Bayliss was working as a scout for Millwall , alongside a part-time job with the NHS in ex-offender rehabilitation.
