Peter Wagener Grayson (1788–1838) was an attorney, diplomat, cabinet officer, and presidential candidate in the Republic of Texas. He was the son of Benjamin and Caroline (Taylor) Grayson, and was born in Bardstown, Virginia (later Kentucky), in 1788. He owned a plantation near Matagorda, Texas.

The list of people executed by the U.S. state of Texas, with the exception of 1819–1849, is divided into periods of 10 years. Since 1819, 1,343 people (all but nine of whom have been men) have been executed in Texas as of 20 February 2025. Between 1819 and 1923, 390 people were executed by hanging in the county where the trial took place. [1]
