The Hooded Man (or The Man on the Box) [1] is an image showing a prisoner at Abu Ghraib prison with wires attached to his fingers, standing on a box with a covered head. A re-recorded version of "Robin (The Hooded Man)" was released in 1986 as "the Robin of Sherwood EP", featuring Jason Connery on the sleeve. For this re-release, the B-sides include "Now Is Here", "Herne" and "Caisleán Óir" (as it appears on the album Macalla).
"Robin (The Hooded Man)" is the first single released by Irish group Clannad in April from their 1984 album Legend. This song was the theme tune to the ITV drama Robin of Sherwood and heralded Clannad's effectiveness in soundtrack .
