The Michigan State University Honors College was established in 1956 to provide more academic opportunities for distinguished students of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and to emphasize academic challenge and achievement. In 1999, Eustace Hall underwent a $3 million renovation funded in part by a major donation from MSU alumni Jeffrey N. Cole (BS, 1970) [8] and Kathryn C. Cole (MBA, 1990) of Birmingham, Michigan and was renamed Eustace-Cole Hall in their honor. Eustace-Cole Hall now serves as the headquarters of the MSU Honors College. [9] [10]
The Honors College also accepts applications from transfer students, students on National Student Exchange, and current MSU students who wish to join the Honors College. [12] Once admitted to the Honors College, students must maintain a cumulative 3.0 grade point average.
