Affton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in south St. Louis County, Missouri, United States, near St. Louis. The population was 20,417 at the 2020 United States Census .
The newspaper offices are located at 600 Ludington St. in downtown Escanaba, Michigan. The Daily Press was founded as the Escanaba Morning Press on March 19,1909. It competed with the Escanaba Mirror, an evening publication founded in the 1880s. On June 30, 1924, the Mirror was taken over by the Press and the evening paper was discontinued.

Donald James Carter (July 29, 1926 – January 5, 2012) [1] was a right-handed American professional bowler. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he learned the game while working a childhood job as a pinsetter, [2] and went on to become one of the legends of ten-pin bowling and a founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) in 1958.
