The virus is transmitted by vector, mechanical inoculation, grafting, or seeds, and it is transmitted in a non-persistent manner. The vectors may be arthropods , specifically insects of the order Hemiptera , family Aphididae (colloquially one would say cucumovirus is transmitted by aphids).
