[ 1 ] As of 2013 [update] , there were 525 tramcars in Vienna's tram fleet, including 404 trams or tramsets scheduled for service during peak periods , [ 1 ] comprising 215 single cars and 189 motor and trailer sets.
On 12 June 2003, the groundbreaking ceremony took place outside the Stadion (stadium). Because of the 2008 European Football Championships in Austria, there was enormous pressure to complete the construction on time. The Wiener Linien met the deadline, and on 10 May 2008 the U2 extension to the stadium was opened.

Erlaaer Straße is a station on U6 of the Vienna U-Bahn. [1] It is located in the Liesing District. It opened on 15 April 1995 as part of the section between Philadelphiabrücke and Siebenhirten.

During rush hours , many routes run at intervals of two to five minutes; during evening hours, the U-Bahn runs at 7 and a half minute intervals and trams and buses every ten or 15 minutes.
