Al Maryah Island (Arabic: جزيرة المارية), formerly known as Sowwah Island, is a natural island located northeast of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is named for a famous oasis region in Abu Dhabi, Al Mariyah, which in turn is named after the species of Arabian deer - Al Mariyah - which live there.

Al Zahiyah, formerly known as the Tourist Club Area, is an area in central Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. [1] Al Zahiyah is an entertainment location, with restaurants, hotels (including the Beach Rotana), bars, and nightlife. [2] The Abu Dhabi Mall is also located here. Five bridges connect the area of Al Maryah Island, a business district. [3]

Marawah is 15 km (9.3 miles) north of the Khor al-Bazm along the Abu Dhabi coastline in the southern Gulf. It lies 100 km (62 miles) west of the city and capital, Abu Dhabi . It is about 13 km (8.1 miles) from east to west and about 5.5 km (3.4 miles) from north to south.
