Frank S. Walsh (born 1953 in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire) is a British-born neuroscientist. He is best known for his work on the understanding of the role of cell adhesion molecules in the development and regeneration of the nervous system. He is the author of over 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Walsh was born in Archbald, Pennsylvania. [2] He graduated from Fordham College in 1884 (PhD, 1892) and from the University of Pennsylvania (MD) in 1895. After postgraduate work in Paris, Vienna and Berlin he settled in New York.
In addition to being a Professor of Ophthalmology, he has cross appointments in Neurosurgery and Neurology. [2] Miller has published over 500 articles, 93 chapters, and 13 books, including the 4th edition of Walsh and Hoyt's Clinical Neuro-Ophthalmology. [3]
