State Route 445 (SR 445) is a 41.890-mile-long (67.415 km) state highway in Washoe County, Nevada. The route follows Pyramid Way, a major thoroughfare in the city of Sparks, and connects the Reno metropolitan area to Pyramid Lake. The route is designated a Nevada Scenic Byway.
The road appears on highway maps dating back to at least 1919. However, it wasn't until 1929 that the route first appeared as State Route 17 on official Nevada highway maps. [5] The original road was replaced with the present-day paved highway alignment in 1936. [4] The highway remained largely unchanged until the 1970s.
