Cynthia, known in Japan as Shirona (Japanese: シロナ), is a character in the 2006 video games Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. She appears at various points in the game, before being encountered as the Champion of the Sinnoh Region, the final challenge of the game.
In 2007, she was cast as the lead role of Dawn and as the Sinnoh League Champion Cynthia in the Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl anime series. In 2014, Bauer voiced main character Zuzu Boyle/Ray Akaba and her counterparts in Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V.
Afterward, the player continues their journey, eventually reaching the Sinnoh League. After defeating all Elite Four members, they battle the Sinnoh League Champion, a blonded woman named Cynthia, who had appeared before in the game. After the protagonist defeats Cynthia, they become the new Sinnoh League Champion, finishing the main story.
Cynthia brings Garchomp back out as her final Pokémon. To close out the battle, Cynthia's calls for a Dragon Claw, while Ash commands Mega Lucario to use Reversal. Both Pokémon take the hit from their opponent, but Mega Lucario is able to pull through. Ash defeats Cynthia and moves on to the final round to face Leon.
