Reus (Catalan pronunciation:) is the capital of Baix Camp, in Camp de Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. The area has always been an important producer of wines and spirits, and gained continental importance at the time of the Phylloxera plague.
It is the second-largest and second-busiest airport in Spain, the busiest international airport of Catalonia (largely surpassing Girona, Reus and Lleida), and the sixth busiest in Europe. In 2019, Barcelona Airport handled a record 52,686,314 passengers, up 5.0% from 2018.
It is a destination of low-cost flights provider Ryanair, and planes fly to Reus from many different European and North African locations. The province also has good road and rail links to Barcelona and southwards to Valencia, Murcia and Andalusia along the coastal strip, and high-speed rail services from Tarragona to Madrid started in 2008.
