Tinley Park (formerly Bremen) is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States (with a small portion in Will County), and is a suburb of Chicago. Per the 2020 census , the population was 55,971, [ 3 ] and it is among the fastest-growing suburbs southwest of Chicago.
As of the 2020 census [2] there were 98,246 people, 36,893 households, and 27,075 families residing in the township. The population density was 2,699.88 inhabitants per square mile (1,042.43/km 2).
Merchant and German immigrant Karl Vogt, the brother of future village president Henry Vogt, built the building in 1872. While Vogt expected the building would house workers on a planned Rock Island Railroad junction in Tinley Park, the junction was canceled after the Great Chicago Fire , and the building's construction costs bankrupted Vogt.

Tinley Park is a commuter railroad station along Metra's Rock Island District line in Tinley Park, Illinois. The station is 23.5 miles (37.8 km) from LaSalle Street Station, the northern terminus of the line. [2] As of 2018, Tinley Park is the 57th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 917 weekday boardings. [1]
The school was established in 1917 with funding from a provision from the Community High School Law of 1917. The school began with 13 students and existed in one room of the Orland Park village hall. The school received accreditation in 1920. The next year, the school would grow to 28 students and move to the old bank building.
