Houston Fire Station No. 7 is a historic fire station located at 2403 Milam Street in Houston, Texas. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 1986. [ 2 ] The fire station was built in 1898 and opened the next year as the first paid station in Houston.

Lorehn, the two-story brick building was completed in January 1899 and features rusticated stone details, a five bay front with Central arched entry flanked by two apparatus bay entries and unique parapet details.
In 1950 it was transferred to the Bureau of Fire. [2] In 1886, the department hired its first Black firefighter, who served with Engine Company 11. In 1919, Engine Company 11 was designated the department's all-Black unit. Later Fire Boat One was also an all-Black unit. The Department began to desegregate in February 1949. [5]
