BBC Radio 1 Anthems is a British online-only radio stream, owned and operated by the BBC and run as a spin-off from BBC Radio 1. The station launched on 8 November 2024 and plays a wide range of music and acts supported by the main Radio 1 network in the 2000s and 2010s. [ 2 ]
The entire show was visualised, and could be watched live on the BBC Radio 1 website. Viewers could see in real time what is happening in the studio, the presenters' challenges, interviews with musicians or people involved in internet culture, and music videos created by the audience.

9–10 April – BBC Radio 1 broadcasts a non-stop Marathon Music Quiz. Featuring two teams, Radio 1 and the Music Industry. It is scheduled to run continuously for 26 hours plus 385 minutes with Mike Read as quizmaster for the whole of the quiz. The overnight portion is broadcast live. [18] 6 September – Pat Sharp joins. On 6 September 2019, Free began presenting the weekend early breakfast show on BBC Radio 1, which included Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.
