The Reading Express were a professional indoor football team based in Reading, Pennsylvania. They were most recently a member of the United Conference of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The Express began play in 2006, as an expansion team of the American Indoor Football League .
The 2011 Reading Express season was the sixth season as a professional indoor football franchise and their first in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-two teams competing in the IFL for the 2011 season , the Reading Express were members of the Atlantic Division of the United Conference.
One of 16 teams competing in the IFL for the 2012 season, the Reading Express were members of the United Conference. The team played their home games under head coach Mark Steinmeyer at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. The Express earned a 2–12 record, placing 8th in the United Conference, failing to qualify for the postseason.
Centreville entered the playoffs at 4-5 overall, a team the Raiders beat 50-0 in the regular season. It was a similar round one to Reading's 36-0 win over Sand Creek.

The arena is home to the Reading Royals ice hockey team in the ECHL as well as the Alvernia University Golden Wolves ice hockey team of the NCAA DIII. It was formerly home to the Reading Railers basketball team, the New York Majesty Lingerie Football League team, the Reading Rockets box lacrosse team, and the Reading Express indoor football team.
