Bordering the lakeshore and under the shade of pines and hardwoods, Badin Lake Campground offers a year-round retreat for swimmers, boaters, and anglers. The campground has 35 non-electric sites for tent and camper trailer camping.
You can only camp for 14 days in a 30-day period at a developed campground or dispersed camping. Primitive dispersed camping is allowed except in those areas posted "No Camping" or a developed campground or day-use area.
It has 6 trailheads to access the 17 miles of trails. Additionally, it is within 1 to 2 miles of developed campgrounds – Arrowhead Campground, Badin Lake Campground, and Badin Lake Group Camp where flush toilets, vault toilets and showers are available for campers.
Badin Lake Hiking Trail follows Badin Lake's shore for half of its distance and loops back through hardwood forests to the boat ramp. Paved connectors form Arrowhead Campground access the trail. Hikers may take the 2.5-mile loop or tackle the entire 5.6-mile trail.

Badin Lake Hiking Trail is 5.6 miles and follows the lake around Badin Lake Campground and around Arrowhead Campground and goes back to Badin Lake Group Camp. The campsites are available by reservations only.
To make reservations at Arrowhead, Badin Lake, Badin Lake Group and Canebrake Horse campgrounds TDD: 877-833-6777 or visit: www.recreation.gov. Be sure to make reservations up to 240 days in the 0.75-mile paved trail that loops around the campground. Off-highway-vehicle trails are 2.5 miles from Arrowhead, and a boat ramp is just a half-mile away.
