The Adventist University of the Philippines is a private Protestant coeducational higher education institution located in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. The university is affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It holds an autonomous status granted by the Commission on Higher Education. [1]
The UP Fighting Maroons are the collegiate varsity teams of the University of the Philippines Diliman. The teams play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the Philippines' premier college sports league. UP is one of four member-universities that participate in all 15 sporting events of the league.
Prior to the establishment of the Diliman campus, the campus was in what is now University of the Philippines Manila. The Fighting Maroons won there first championship title in NCAA in the NCAA Season 0 (1924–1925), they also became the champions in NCAA Season 1 (1925–1926), and NCAA Season 2 (1926–1927) (as 3–peat champions).
