David Gibbs Lloyd (July 7, 1934 – November 10, 2009) was an American screenwriter and producer for television. He wrote for many sitcoms , such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show , The Bob Newhart Show , Taxi , Cheers , Frasier and Wings .
The BBC Film Unit's London to Brighton in Four Minutes is a short film about a London to Brighton train journey, produced in 1953. [note 1] It was mostly filmed from the driver's point of view looking straight ahead [note 2] with the filming done so that the journey was spectacularly fast, lasting only four minutes instead of the real travel time of about one hour.
The match was played in front of a Wembley crowd of 59,940 spectators and was refereed by David Elleray. Brighton started strongly but Notts County took the lead in the first half of the final with a Tommy Johnson goal. Brighton hit the post and the bar either side of half time, before Johnson made it 2–0 midway through the second half.
