"Mutt" is a song by American singer Leon Thomas, released on August 8, 2024, as the lead single from his second studio album of the same name (2024). [1] It was produced by D. Phelps, Robert Gueringer and Michael Stokes. An official remix with American rapper Freddie Gibbs was released on August 30, 2024.
Shortly after its release, Thomas began to start work on his second album, understanding that his deal with Motown would expect two albums in his "first cycle with them". [4] Conceptually, the album was inspired by a breakup Thomas experienced at the time, as well as observing the similarities in behaviours between himself and his dog.
