I purchased the ES-2 Film Digitizing Adapter and Nikkor MC 50 lens to use with it. Having trouble getting it set up I contacted Nikon tech support. Several days later, I received an e-mail stating that the Adapter is not compatible with the 50 lens. Having purchased the Adapter and lens from B&H Photo Supply, I contacted them.

Avoid the Landscape profile in high contrast scenes because it adds contrast. Avoid the Auto button. In Lightroom it always adds contrast, darkens blacks, and brightens whites regardless of your image. If you use the button, just bring the offending settings to zero and adjust manually for Blacks, whites and contrast.
The Nikon Tech support website for the WT-4 software upgrade (which is v1.10, possibly coincidentally) states: "Users of the D300 The current version of the D300 firmware (v1.0.3) is not compatible with Thumbnail Selector v1.1.0. An upgrade to the firmware is planned but the timing of this release is as yet undecided.
