I.M Terrell High School was a secondary school located in Fort Worth, Texas. The school opened in 1882 as the city's first black school, during the era of formal racial segregation in the United States. Though the high school closed in 1973, the building reopened as an elementary school in 1998.
But in May 1931, five TIAA schools joined together to form the Lone Star Conference. These were Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, East Texas, Southwest Texas and North Texas. [4] [2] As a result, the conference was dissolved in 1932. Many of the members became independents and eventually wound up in the short-lived Alamo Conference.

Gymnasium 4 of the activities and Recreation center is located at the east side of the building on the lower level. Inside Gymnasium 4 there are three basketball courts, which in turn can also be used as volleyball courts. Day lockers can be found inside the gym. The total area of the Gymnasium 4 is 19,219 square feet (1,785.5 m 2). [1]

Dawson Independent School District is a public school district based in the community of Welch, Texas . In addition to Dawson County, it includes sections in Lynn County and Terry County. [1] [2] In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. [3]
