Tawume Iskole (The Town School) (Sinhala: ටවුමේ ඉස්කෝලේ) is a 2018 Sri Lankan Sinhalese children's drama film directed by Sunil Premaratne and produced by Dhammika Atapattu for Eyon Films. [1] It stars Bimal Jayakody and Tharuka Wanniarachchi in lead roles along with child artists Prabhashi Palliyage and Melisha Yenuli. [2]
Wellawatte Arachchige Abraham Silva, popularly known as W. A. Silva, (16 January 1890 – 3 May 1957) [a] was a best-selling author of Sinhalese literature. Born in Wellawatte, Colombo, [2] his career began with his first novel, Siriyalatha, written at the age of 16 after receiving a formal Sinhalese education.
Mr. Siriwardena has written two collections of poetry, two short stories, six novels, six youth novels, four biographies, two children's stories and more than hundred "Bosath Katha"s. In 2012, a felicitation ceremony was organized by the Sinhala-Tamil Writers' Association to honor Siriwardena and two other writers. [3]
