An intranet is an access-restricted network used internally in an organization. An intranet uses the same concepts and technologies as the World Wide Web and Internet . This includes web browsers and servers running on the internet protocol suite and using Internet protocols such as FTP , TCP/IP , HTML , and Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP).
An intranet portal is the gateway that unifies access to enterprise information and applications [1] on an intranet.It is a tool that helps a company manage its data, applications, and information more easily through personalized views.
Deloitte is the largest professional services network by revenue and number of employees in the world and is one of the Big Four accounting firms, along with EY, KPMG, and PwC. [5] [6] The firm was founded by William Welch Deloitte in London, England in 1845 and expanded into the United States in 1890. [7]
An organization-wide intranet can constitute an important focal point of internal communication and collaboration, and provide a single starting point to access internal and external resources. In its simplest form, an intranet is established with the technologies for local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).

Effective December 31, 2022, Renjen became Global CEO Emeritus of Deloitte. [3] Renjen was raised in Rohtak, North India in the state of Haryana. After earning an MBA in management from Oregon's Willamette University, he was hired by Touche Ross, which merged into Deloitte in 1989. He has worked at Deloitte and lived in the US ever since.
