Let's have some fun looking at some measures I took of the Yosh R77 pipe (and 2wdw flash) I installed recently on a 2019 XSR700. Product as ordered (and used in this review) Yoshimura Race Series R-77 Works Finish Full Exhaust for Yamaha FZ-07 / MT-07 / XSR700 w/Black can with 2WDW ECU flash. Eve...
Stock is probably close to 89 dB at the proper measurement positioning. I'm thinking the Yoshimura and most all other exhausts are significantly louder. Delkevic gives values in their videos. I haven't installed the pipe yet, but their 18" can full exhaust is claimed to be 96 dB with baffle in.
The Yoshi with the baffle in gets the second highest performance hit from 2WDW with the Akra Ti (baffle out) getting the highest. Check out these charts which surely don't show the Yoshi at a loss from stock in the lower RPM ranges. Note that the Yoshi chart starts at 2K while the stock chart starts at 3.5K.
For $920 you get the Custom ECU tune, FZ/MT-07 Yoshimura R77 Carbon Exhaust and Yoshimura R77 Race Exhaust System Yamaha HP goes from 63.76 up to 71.74 TQ goes up from 46.55 to 49.92
Baffle swaps in and out in seconds. About $200 cheaper than the Yoshi in your link. It's an upswept system, though, which might not be what you want at all. Exhaust sound in the video is 100% accurate to real life, except it doesn't capture how much louder it is with the baffle (chicane) removed.
Yoshimura is building a YZF-R7, and we’re going to race it - RevZilla. Yoshimura R&D is building a Yamaha YZF-R7 race bike, and RevZilla is going to ride it. We tag along as the bike is tested and developed. This doesn't have the import it would have had several years ago, before Yoshimura disbanded its race team.
Premium Member. Posted November 6, 2015. I went for the Yoshimura R-77 Carbon basically cause it was (in my opinion) louder, lighter & shipper compared to the Akraprovic Carbon. They both look quite similar and I didn't like the look of the Akra Tt so it wasn't that hard for me to decide.
I gave Yoshimura my bike to do the R&D for parts they'd want to make with the bike. The fender eliminator and full system exhaust is what I ended up with. And I believe that's all they plan to make for the 07 at the moment. I love the sound of the exhaust. With the baffle in, it gives a nice deep, throaty sound.
Yamaha MT-07 FZ-07 Forums. MT-07 FZ-07 Garage. Yamaha FZ-07 Exhaust. The stock exhaust which reminded me of an angry sewing machine was my only complaint about the FZ-07. I installed a full Yoshimura exhaust system shortly after purchasing my bike, and I couldn't be happier with the sound and sensation it provides while riding.
The FZ07 always has that thumper feel, that has not gone away thanks to the cross plane crank, the flash actually makes it freaking funner and with the Yosh R77 that lower twin rumble and feel is just a wood maker. All in all with the Flash, Yosh Exhaust has done is make the FZ the bike it should be engine wise.
