John Griffin Hanna (1889–1948) was a sailboat designer, famous for designing the Tahiti ketch. Hanna was born in Galveston, Texas , on October 12, 1889. During his childhood he was afflicted with deafness following scarlet fever and lost a foot in a traffic accident.
John Alfred Hannah (October 9, 1902 – February 23, 1991) was president of Michigan State College (later Michigan State University) for 28 years (1941–1969), making him the longest serving of MSU's presidents. He is credited with transforming the school from a regional undergraduate college into a large national research institution.
Born at Lincoln on 3 November 1792, he was the third son of a coal-dealer. His parents were Wesleyan Methodists in Lincoln. He received his early education from local teachers, mainly from the Rev. W. Gray, a senior vicar of the cathedral: he knew the classics, and studied French, mathematics, and Hebrew.

John Hannah (born 23 April 1962) is a Scottish actor and voice over artist. He came to prominence in Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), for which he was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role as Matthew.
