The McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool (MCPR) is used when the built-in uninstall feature in one of McAfee's products doesn’t completely remove the app. MCPR should be downloaded, used, and then deleted. If you need to use MCPR again, you must download the latest version from the McAfee site.
You might see an Installation incomplete error when you try to install a McAfee app such as LiveSafe or Total Protection on your Windows computer. If you see this message, the installation has failed and you'll need to fix the cause of the error before you can install your McAfee software.

If you see the same error message, remove all traces of McAfee software using the McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool (MCPR), and then reinstall. Here's how:
Download the MCPR tool. Double-click MCPR.exe. If you see a security warning, click Yes, Continue, or Run (depending on your version of Windows): On the McAfee Software Removal screen: Click Next. Click Agree to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). In the Security Validation screen: Type the characters exactly as shown on your screen.
