Paolo Vitelli (4 October 1947 – 31 December 2024) was an Italian businessman, the founder in 1969 of the motor yacht company Azimut. He was president of Azimut Benetti Group. From March 2013 to September 2015, he was a member of parliament in Italy’s Legislature XVII, after being elected to the Civic Choice List with Monti for Italy.

The Hackett is recognized as the very first Great Lakes freighter, a vessel type that has dominated Great Lakes shipping for over 100 years. In 1905, the Hackett caught fire and sank on Whaleback Shoal in Green Bay , 9.5 miles (15.3 km) southeast of the Cedar River.
