The Committee for the National Defence of Kosovo (Albanian: Komiteti "Mbrojtja Kombëtare e Kosovës" abbrev. KMKK) was an Albanian organization founded in Shkodër on 1 May 1918. [1] It mainly consisted of the political exiles from Kosovo and was led by Hoxha Kadri from Pristina. [2] It had existed in looser form since May 1915.
The 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence, which proclaimed the Republic of Kosovo to be an independent and sovereign state, was adopted at a meeting held on 17 February 2008 by 109 out of the 120 members of the Assembly of Kosovo, including the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, and by the President of Kosovo, Fatmir Sejdiu (who was not a member of the Assembly). The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo (Albanian: Kuvendi i Republikës së Kosovës; Serbian: Скупштина Републике Косово, Skupština Republike Kosovo) or the Kuvendi, [g] is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Kosovo that is directly elected by the people every four years.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (Albanian: Ministria e Punëve të Jashtme dhe Diasporës) is a department of the government of Kosovo responsible for the foreign policy of Kosovo. The ministry has its headquarters in Pristina, with Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz as the incumbent foreign minister in the second cabinet of Albin Kurti.
