Son Gohan (Japanese: 孫 悟飯) is a fictional character in the Japanese franchise Dragon Ball created by Akira Toriyama.Gohan is the first son of the protagonist Son Goku and his wife Chi-Chi and made his appearance in chapter #196 "Kakarrot", published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine on October 8, 1988.

Gohan starts to reveal the sadistic qualities of the Super Saiyan 2, preferring to let Cell suffer, despite Goku's protests that Gohan must destroy Cell now. Cell regenerates himself, and becomes enraged, and powers up to an extreme power level, but makes the same mistake that Trunks did, and is unable to hit Gohan due to his size.
She is last seen with Goku, when he says goodbye to everyone and departs the mortal world with Shenron. Chi-Chi usually appears as a non-playable character in cut scenes or referenced in dialogue for most Dragon Ball video games. She is a support-type character for Goku and Gohan in Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu.
Goku later names his first son Gohan in his grandfather's honor. In the anime, he later appears as an assistant to Annin (アンニン), the ruler of the "magical furnace". He is voiced by Osamu Saka in the Japanese version of the original series, Kinpei Azusa in Bardock: The Father of Goku, and Shigeru Chiba in Dragon Ball Kai.

As Krillin and the others try to find the Dragon Balls after Bulma adjusts the eyepiece for their use, Chi-Chi arrives with her father Ox-King to search for Goku and Gohan, and Master Roshi is forced to tell Chi-Chi the truth himself about Raditz's attack, Goku's sacrifice and Gohan's taken by Piccolo, upon which she faints.
