The Wales national rugby union team (Welsh: Tîm rygbi'r undeb cenedlaethol Cymru) represents Wales in men's international rugby union.Its governing body, the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), was established in 1881, the same year that Wales played their first international against England.

The Wales national rugby union team is scheduled to tour Japan in July 2025, as part of the 2025 mid-year rugby union tests.The first test against the Japan national team is scheduled to be played at the Mikuni World Stadium Kitakyushu on 5 July, followed by the second test at the Noevir Stadium Kobe a week later.

The first 'Golden Era' of Welsh rugby is so called due to the success achieved by the national team during the early 20th century. Wales had already won the Triple Crown in 1893, but between 1900 and 1914 the team would win the trophy on six occasions, and with France joining the tournament (unofficially in 1908 and 1909) three Grand Slams.
Since 1908 Australia and Wales have competed against each other in rugby union in forty-nine matches, Australia having won thirty-four, Wales fourteen, with one draw.
