The Kinloch Estate extends to nearly 20,000 acres and rises from sea level at the Kyle of Tongue to over 3,000 feet on Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro. [ 1 ] The lodge was created as a classical Scottish sporting and hunting estate and is now renovated and transformed into a hotel.
The Kinloch Club golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in March 2007. [14] In 2018 the course was ranked as the best 18-hole course in New Zealand by the New Zealand Professional Golfers Association. [11] There is also a public 10-hole golf course located in Kinloch village. [5]
