In Mesopotamian religion, Tiamat (Akkadian: ππΎππ³ D TI.AMAT or πππ D TAM.TUM, Ancient Greek: ΘαλΞ¬ττη, romanized: ThaláttΔ) [1] is the primordial sea, mating with Abzû (Apsu), the groundwater, to produce the gods in the Babylonian epic Enûma Elish, which translates as "when on high."

A Deeper Kind of Slumber is the fifth studio album from Swedish band Tiamat.Featuring female background vocals by Birgit Zacher (Moonspell, Angel Dust) and experimentation with a variety of influences, the album marked the group's first complete withdrawal from both death metal and conventional heavy metal, following their 1994 release, Wildhoney.
Johan Edlund (born 9 March 1971) is a Swedish singer, guitarist, and keyboardist and leader of the bands Tiamat and Lucyfire. [1] [2] He has also remixed songs for Rammstein and London After Midnight. He was also a guest singer in the Dutch progressive metal project Ayreon. Edlund was born in Södertälje, Stockholm County.
