The instrumentalists comprised Billy Taylor Sr. bass, clarinet Tony Scott, drums J.C. Heard, guitars Freddie Green and Mundell Lowe, piano Jimmy Jones, on tenor saxophone Budd Johnson, trombone Bennie Green, and trumpet Miles Davis. [1]
