University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is one of the graduate schools of the University of South Florida. It is located in north Tampa, Florida and serves the greater Tampa Bay Area. Established by the Florida Legislature in 1965, the college enrolled its charter class in 1971.

At that time, the University of South Florida (USF) expressed interest in buying the land and facilities of the college to establish a branch campus there. The USF College of Nursing was founded in 1973, [2] enrolling its charter class into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The college added a Master of Science in Nursing program in 1980, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in 1997, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in 2005.
