In February 1928 the Buckeye Board of Trustees approved a bond election for a new high school to be built at another site in Buckeye. Land was donated by local residents and, in September 1929, the doors of the new high school building built by Buckeye School District #33 opened at 902 Eason Avenue with approximately 60 students enrolled.
