Better Than Wolves is trying to keep that old survival feel of versions past and therefore uses an old version of Minecraft: 1.5.2. This means that the installation is a bit different from most mods. Check out the wiki for installation instructions.
In here, select "add" and choose the Neodymium mod. It will automatically place the jar inside the proper folder. If you would prefer to drag and drop the jar manually like old times, select "view folder" at the very bottom right of the menu.
dawnraider wrote: ↑ Sun Mar 20, 2022 6:48 pm The main criticism I have is that your addon's recipes should be completely separated from the BTW recipes if you want to advertise this as a BTW recipe guide and not an addon guide. Finally got around to addressing this. New guide is SBTW free and updated with all the latest additions from CE 2.X.
A new mod called Distant Horizons 2 allows 300 render distance, which completely changes how you explore the world. Exploring in base BTW for structures would be so much more enjoyable if you could make out distant shorelines, mountains, and jungles. Re: Remake Better than Wolves in 1.21 to revive the game again.
A small mod for BTW that enables light sources to emit light when held in your active slot. Currently only emit light when holding a lit torch or crude torch :) I made modifications for Dynamic Light to adapt to BTW2.0+. Simply install the Fabric loader and place it in the mods folder to run it. Both the server and client should add this mod.
This is the Better Achievements Mod! This Add-On adds new Achievements tailored to BTW There might be some issues when installed along other addons, but I havn't really tested that yet.
I kinda like the idea of Better Than Wolves, and was wondering if there was a mod like that, preferably for a newer Minecraft version?
I used the installation guide and successfully installed the mod. My single issue is that my client has no audio. the menu, footsteps, all of it doesn't work. deleting the resources folder and relaunching the game to let it reinstall the audio files. creating a new 1.5.2 jar unmodded. (this also doesn't have sound.)
Select version 1.5.2! Then, you can click "Edit Instance" in the right sidebar to add some mods. Keep your eyes on the right sidebar. Clicking "Add to Minecraft.jar" will allow you to select a zipped mod to install automatically. The mod in question just need to be a zip file containing all the mod files.
