Thanked 409 Times in 251 Posts. Bad experience with Pella windows. So I’m slowly replacing windows in our 1790 house with new construction windows. I’m not looking for anything special. I had Harvey windows installed some 12 years ago. I think they are a good quality middle of the road vinyl window that look good from the street. The mullions are between the panes so they're easy to clean. Their customer service is great! I had a pane fog up, unfortunately the installer was out of business so called Harvey directly.

Hi, I had 30, (yes 30 - main house and cottage) Jeld-Wen windows installed in my camp last year. We have had them for a year and have had very good luck with them. We spent about 45% of our time there this winter and never had a worry about heat loss. Very solid built, no drafts and smooth operating. 8 are sliding windows, the balance double hung.

Chateaugay, which was purchased from the Shelburne Shipyard located on the Vermont side of Lake Champlain. It was a phenomenal feat; cutting the Chateaugay ...
