I have a 2001 4,3 S10 Pickup. I need to replace the fuel tank pressure sensor. Engine Light came on with the code P0452: Evaporative Emissions System Pressure Sensor/Switch Low Input. So i want to know how to change the Fuel tank pressure sensor. I was wondering if you have to take the fuel pump out. Is the sensor attached to the fuel pump?

You could undo the bolts holding the bed on and start the pass side bolts a couple of threads and prop the bed up with a 2x4 and check the ...

Replace your fuel tank evap solenoid I have ran across this issue a lot pcm commands valve to open to relieve excess pressure and valve doesn't open resulting in high pressure in tank also put a scanner on it look at the fuel tank pressure sensor if it is bad an not ...
White wire is the control for the EVAP vent solenoid. The gray wire in that connector you found is the 5V reference for the fuel pressure sensor. There is a thicker gauge gray wire coming from the underhood fuseblock - same harness as your tail lights - that will power the fuel pump.

Look over all your hoses very carefully for cracks or dry rot. Also a lot easier and cheaper to fix. Low fuel pressure would be number 2, but a more common cause is a tired fuel pump. The pressure should be around 60 psi when you turn the key to on but don't start the truck. Then watch the gauge for a couple minutes.
It started having the issues on Jan 31st. Code P0452. I replaced the MAF sensor, air filter, TPS, fuel fill tube hose that leaked when I filled it up, replaced vacuum lines, fuel filter & eventually the EVAP sensor on the fuel tank. Replacing the EVAP sensor made the check engine light go out but still had the same problem.
Picked up my first Blazer (lots of full size Chevy's) with my first 4.3. 1993 with CPI. Runs rough and reading this forum everyone says start with the fuel pressure. Hooked up gauge on the test port at the back corner of the intake turn the key on but not start the engine. Pressure goes up to about 58 for maybe 2 secs, I can hear the pump go ...
the EVAP pressure sensor is on top of the gas tank. it looks almost identical to the MAP sensor on the intake manifold, but they are not the same part number. it's on the fuel pump/gauge sender asy. probably have to lower or drop the tank to get at it. but make sure that code is indicating a faulty sensor.
there should be a 3pin/ fuel pressure sensor, 4pin/ fuel pump sender. you are only changing the 4pin pigtail out. 2000 GMC Jimmy 2wd 2 door / LQ9, L92 heads, 224/230 cam and LS3 intake, She has been parted, stripped and retired.
