CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is an American procedural crime drama TV series that premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000. Since then, fifteen seasons have been broadcast. The first season consisted of 23 episodes, including a two-part pilot episode written by series creator Anthony E. Zuiker.
CSI originally starred William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger alongside an ensemble including George Eads, Gary Dourdan, and Paul Guilfoyle. Jorja Fox joined the cast in episode two of the first season, whilst Eric Szmanda and Robert David Hall recurred throughout the first two seasons of the show before being promoted to regular status starting with the third.
The ninth and final season of CSI: NY originally aired on CBS between September 2012 and February 2013. It is the shortest season of CSI: NY, consisting of only 17 episodes. Its regular time slot on Fridays moved to 8pm/7c for the first two episodes, then back to 9pm/8c beginning with the third episode. [1]
