The Rotax 916 iS is an Austrian piston ... It has electronic fuel ... 85.8 kg (189.2 lb), including propeller speed reduction gearbox with overload ...
The Rotax 915 iS is a four-cylinder four-stroke, horizontally-opposed, turbocharged, air and liquid-cooled, gasoline engine design, with a mechanical gearbox reduction drive. The turbocharger has a compression ratio of 3.5:1 and the engine will have a critical altitude of 15,000 ft (4,572 m).
The cockpit width is 1.15 m (45 in). Standard engines available are the 100 hp (75 kW) Rotax 912ULS, the Rotax 912iS [5] and the 115 hp (86 kW) Rotax 914 four-stroke powerplants. A glider towhook is optional equipment. [2] [3] [6] The design has been developed into a three to four seat aircraft, the Aerospool WT10 Advantic. [2]
The RV-12iS is an incremental improvement over the RV-12 which allows the installation of the Rotax 912ULS (carbureted) or the Rotax 912iS (fuel-injected) engines. It also incorporates a new cowling and throttle quadrant design, quick-retracting flaps, a quick-adjusting seat, redesigned landing gear attachments and fuel tank, among other ...
Specific fuel consumption of air-breathing jet engines at their maximum efficiency is more or less proportional to exhaust speed. The fuel consumption per mile or per kilometre is a more appropriate comparison for aircraft that travel at very different speeds.
The Ikarus C42 is a single-engined high-wing monoplane with side-by-side seats for two in a 1.22 m (48 in) wide cabin. The C42 is manufactured with either an 80 hp (60 kW) Rotax 912 engine or a 100 hp (75 kW) Rotax 912s engine. The Rotax engine has a low fuel consumption and relatively low noise.

Maximum speed: 213 km/h (132 mph, 115 kn) Cruise speed: 204 ...
In 2016 the design set an FAI Class R (Microlights and paramotors) world speed record for absolute speed of 323.82 km/h (201 mph) with a standard Rotax 912 engine. [8] For this record the pilot Alberto Porto, who is also the CEO of Swiss Excellence Airplanes, received an Oscar from VFR Magazine [9] and the De la Vaulx Medal by the FAI.
