Robertson Airport (FAA LID: 4B8), also known as Robertson Field, is a public use airport in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. [1] It is owned by the town of Plainville [1] and is located two nautical miles (4 km) north of its central business district. [1]
In the nineteenth century, Plainville was served by the Farmington Canal. It also sits on the intersection of two rail lines, one running north from New Haven and the other running east–west between Waterbury and Berlin. Finally, Plainville is the home of Robertson Field, the oldest private airport in Connecticut.
