The Mazda3 is based on the Ford global C1 platform, shared with the latest European Ford Focus and Volvo S40.Previewed by the MX-Sportif concept car, the first-generation Mazda3 was available in two body styles, a four-door fastback sedan/saloon, marketed as a "4-door coupé style" in Europe, and a five-door hatchback, branded the Sport version in Canada, Japan, and the United States.
Mazda had used a number of different marques in the Japan market, including Autozam, Eunos, and Efini, although they have been phased out. The Mazda MX-3 [4] is a 2+2-seat, front-wheel drive coupé of a kammback design, manufactured and marketed by Mazda. It was introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in March 1991 [5] and marketed until 1998. The MX-3 was also marketed as the Mazda MX-3 Precidia in Canada and as the Eunos Presso, Autozam AZ-3 and Mazda AZ-3 in Japan.

The Mazda CX-3 is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by Mazda. Based on the same platform as the third-generation Mazda2, it was revealed on November 19, 2014 ahead of the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show as a production vehicle for the 2016 model year.
