Old Orchard Beach is a resort town in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 8,960 at the 2020 census . [ 3 ] It is part of the Portland − South Portland − Biddeford , Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area .
The Old Orchard Beach Inn is prominently located in the center of Old Orchard Beach, on the west side of Portland Avenue (Maine State Route 8), opposite the town hall. [1] After being unable to find a suitable location in Portland, Maine, the focus turned to Old Orchard Beach, which believed a horse track would contribute to its success as a resort town.
