The Information Technology University (ITU) (Urdu: جامعہ اطلاعیات) is a public university in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Founded in 2012, the university was founded and headed by Umar Saif and is modeled after the MIT.
ECAT is a prerequisite for admission in the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, its affiliated institutions and all other public sector engineering institutions in the Punjab. [1] From entry 2023 to onwards, it is also a prerequisite for admission in private engineering universities of Punjab.
ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering is the first faculty of Istanbul Technical University. Its foundation date is considered as the starting of the engineering education in Ottoman Empire . Faculty has three divisions.

Saif established Pakistan's first IT university Information Technology University (ITU) [30] and on 20 January 2013, he was appointed as the first and founding Vice Chancellor of the ITU by the Government of Punjab. [11] At the age of 34, he became the youngest vice chancellor of a university in Pakistan at the time.
The Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) is a public university located in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. [1] It was established in 2014 on the initiative of the then Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Today, it is widely considered one of the best and most prestigious engineering universities in Pakistan. More than 50,000 students apply for admission every year. [7] The university, as of 2016, had a faculty of 881, 257 of whom had doctorates. It had a total of 9,385 undergraduate and 1,708 postgraduate students. [8]
